Bob Summerlin
Prior to entering private practice in 1983, Dr. Bob Summerlin served as director of J.S. Tarwater Development Center as well as the clinical director of two mental health centers. College level training was received at Marion Institute, U.S. Millitary Academy, and Auburn University. He has taught courses for Jacksonville State University, West Virginia University, and Auburn University. Dr. Summerlin provides evaluation and/or counseling service to teenagers and older. He is married to Ms. Alice Summerlin who is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Jim Lloyd
Mr. Jim Lloyd was born and raised in Calhoun County, Alabama. He joined the United States Marine Corps when he was 18 years old and there he remained for 20 years. The last ten years he served as a personnel officer. After retiring form the USMC, he spent three years as a counselor/evaluator with The Opportunity Center/ Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. He has been in private practice since 1990. He is a general practitioner who sees many children, teens, and adults for developmental, intellectual, and educational evaluations and counseling. He is married to Dee Dee Lloyd and their four children are thankfully grown.
Jerry Bynum
Dr. Jerry Bynum has been in private practice in Anniston since 1991. He returned to the Anniston area after completing his doctoral degree in psychology at the University of Alabama and finishing his internship at the University of South Carolina Medical School in Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Bynum has worked for the Birmingham VA Medical Center’s community mental health clinics in Gadsden and Anniston for the past 10 years. Dr. Bynum sees all ages in therapy with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy of anxiety and depression problems. Psychological evaluations are available to adults.

Alice Summerlin
Ms. Alice Lewis Summerlin attended Jacksonville State University where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Psychology, and a second master’s degree in Community Counseling. After having completed the required degrees and internships, she became licensed by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. In January or 1990, she began the private practice of counseling.
Ms. Summerlin utilizes a “here and now” approach to problem resolution. She assists patients with a variety of issues/situations to include:

Ms. Summerlin is married to Dr. Bob Summerlin. They have two children (Grant Summerlin and Amanda Kughn), a son-in-law (Jonathan Kughn), and a daughter-in-law (Jennifer Summerlin). The Summerlins have been blessed with two grandchildren (Taylor Kughn and Tanner Kughn) and two granddogs (Sally and Gwenie).
